Celebrating Legal Excellence
A TOTAL OF 275 ATTORNEYS gathered at the 2016 ELFA Legal Forum, May 1–3 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, for the latest information on legal issues impacting the equipment leasing and finance industry. More than 25 sessions focused on hot topics and key market segments. The agenda tackled a wide range of subjects, from “Advanced Lease Topics: Snappy Answers to Injudicious Questions” to “Ethics: Pushing the Envelope Without Tearing it Open.” Legal Committee Chair Judy VanOsdel and ELFA President and CEO Ralph Petta presented the Edward A. Groobert Award for Legal Excellence to Alan Mogol from Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver.

Credit and Collections Execs Gather
MORE THAN 130 senior credit and collections execs convened in Denver, June 5–7, for the ELFA Credit and Collections Management Conference & Exhibition. The theme of the conference was “Leasing Through Economic Peaks & Valleys.” Attendees got up-to-speed on the latest industry strategies, trends and forecasts in credit and collections and enjoyed multiple opportunities to network and discuss industry best practices. Hot topics included regulatory issues currently impacting the industry from both a bank and non-bank perspective, risk management practices that make good business sense and a review of credit and collections benchmarking data. Nine companies exhibited, showcasing a variety of business solutions.
